Your career is not going to fix itself
Hi [First Name],
Let's talk about your job.
You've been at this for 20, 25, 30 years. You're good at it. And you're bored, or resentful, or watching people younger than you get the opportunities you should have. Maybe you've told yourself it's fine. Maybe you tell yourself that every Sunday night.
I don't buy it, and I don't think you do either.
Here's what I see when coaching clients just like you. People tell me they want a different career, a raise, a promotion, or a whole new direction, and then they do nothing about it. They say they'll start after the busy season, or after the kids, or after the review. They have a perfectly good reason every single time, and those reasons keep them exactly where they are.
Yes, ageism exists. Yes, it can be harder to make a move at 50 than at 30. That's true, and it's also the excuse most people reach for first, because it lets them off the hook. I'd rather look at what you're actually doing about it.
You have decades ahead of you. That's not the end of your career. It's a second half, and most people don't design it because they're too busy running the plan they made at 25.
Take the time to decide what you want out of this next chapter. Be specific and be honest, even if it feels like too much. Then make a plan to get you there, and do what you say you'll do. That last part is the hard one.
I'm running a small group called Powerfully Proud to help you do exactly that. The goal is to end 2026 proud of how you spent it.
- 5 people, so there's nowhere to hide (Only 4 spots left)
- 10 weeks
- You'll get clear on what you want for your career and your life, and you'll be held to it
We're already deep into September. You can let the rest of 2026 slide by, or you can use it- your choice.
👉 Save your spot
Four spots. If you're reading this and thinking "maybe," that's your sign to reach out.
Lauren
