Why Powerfully Proud
In December, I ask people the same question: How do you feel about this year?
And almost nobody says "proud."
They say tired. Behind. Relieved it's over. They say "next year will be different", which is well-intentioned and all but hard to believe in.
Here's what I know after doing this work for over two decades: pride isn't a feeling that shows up because a year happened to go well. Pride is something you build, on purpose, starting now, not something you hope to feel by accident in a few months.
That's the whole idea behind Powerfully Proud, the small group I'm personally running this fall.
Five people. Ten weeks. Small enough that I actually know what's going on in your life. Focused enough that we don't waste a single one of those weeks.
We're not spending those next ten weeks "reflecting on your year" and then scrambling in December. We're building, right now, the version of you who gets to December 31st and actually means it when she says: I did that. I showed up. I'm proud of how I ended this year.
That might mean finally having the conversation you've been avoiding. Closing the loop on the thing you keep almost-finishing. Making the ask. Setting the boundary. Making the money move you've been "getting to." Whatever your version of "unfinished" is, we're finishing it, together, before the year does.
This isn't a New Year's resolution group. Resolutions are what you write when you're disappointed in December and hopeful in January. This is the opposite: ten weeks of doing the work now so the year-end doesn't catch you off guard.
Five spots. Starting soon. If you already know this is you — don't wait on this one.
I'll see you in there.
